Belt Bags in a Non-Construction Site

I think I haven't mentioned that I own an events management company (www.brainbeamevents.com). During event implementations, I need to bring so many small items like my cellphones, pentel pens/pens/highlighters, a notepad, shades, alco-gel, cash and my credit cards. Bringing a mailman's bag is not practical. Too bulky and such a hassle. Same with a shoulder bag.

And so... meet my trusty BELT BAG. I bought one from Lacoste some six years ago. That's what I love about this brand. Its quality is unquestionable. It has a mesh back portion for your change, and an inside big enough to fit all of the items that I mentioned.

I bring it not just to my events, but to my travels. You should get one too! Frees both your hands for shopping! :)

Taken at the Palawan Underground River. Every woman should also have a sundress, paired with a chunky necklace (again). But this is a different post altogether. :)

My AE's (Account Executive) Wedding

I have three words for you: WIDE. LEG. PANTS.

It makes a petite girl like me look taller and slimmer. Last Saturday (21 January 2012), I attended the wedding of Don (my AE) and Lea. Couldn't find a dress that I felt like wearing so I decided to go for my trusty pair of 'fancy pants'. What do you think? :)

Wide leg pants and top are from the COPPER store in BF Ruins. My super fabulous chunky necklace is from the stall of Abby Jocson from the last St. James Bazaar (http://www.abbyjocson.com/). Hair and Make up by Lee Figueroa (which is more or less my look on my wedding day).
The 'surprise' back view of the blouse
My Abby Jocson necklace up close. Chunky necklaces -- my forever statement piece. Will post more of my other chunky necklaces soon! When wearing one, no need to have huge earrings. That's overdoing it.
MAC and MAY (My fiance and I)
I love how 'flowy' my pink pants look in this photo. Here's the couple with my team.
Congratulations, DON & LEA!

High School Girl

I love the new series, "New Girl". Zooey is adorkable indeed.

Some two weekends ago, the fiance and I went to Tagaytay, and I decided to channel my inner Zooey by wearing this pair of geeky glasses. Used the glasses in an event I hosted last year. And to complete my "high school" look, check out what I wore. Saw this ensemble featuring Dakota Fanning, who wore this 'look' to school.
White top from Zara, Black spaghetti strap top from ages ako, Jeans from Dorothy Perkins, Denim wedge open-toed shoes from a stall in Shell along NLEX (Php350.00) and my favorite mailman's bag from Topshop

Can I still pull off the "high school student" look? :)

Fru-ly Fabulous!

I am so in love with what I call the 'fru-fru' skirt. It's usually made of chiffon, very girly-girl. Here's famous blogger, Camille Co, with her black fru-fru.

I bought a fru-fru from "People are People" sometime mid last year. It's white and has a black, shiny garterized waistband. And I was able to find THE perfect occasion to wear it... during my pre-nup photo shoot!!! Paired it with a black, silk sleeveless top.

Titanic: Pinoy version
Plan on wearing the fru-fru again, but this time using this as an inspiration...

Are you a fan of the fru fru skirt? :)

And the Golden Globe for Fashion goes to...

Charlize Theron in a Dior couture gown takes my # 1 vote

Emma Stone looked effortlessly chic in her Lanvin plum tulle siren gown. Numero dos on my best dressed list.

Zac Posen dress on Reese. My # 3 choice. Love the color and her hair! Pag gising, gora na agad sa Golden Globes ang peg ng hair.
Those who also made their marks were: Paula Patton for her bold, Big Bird colored Monique Lhuillier strapless gown and Jessica Alba for just being so INSANELY slim after 2 babies!!! She was glowing!

Overall, loved the pieces! What a great morning!

Circles

Tada!

This is what I look like. :) Hello there!

And I won't go around in circles and just dive right into my next fashion feature...

Circles are my thing. I feel like it can be New Year's every day. Every January 31 (the eve of New Year), Filipinos have this superstitious belief that if you wear clothes with circle prints on them, you'll have luck and good fortune all throughout the year. I, on the other hand, LOVE circle prints... New Year's or not! And if it brings me an extra something-something, then all the better!

Polka dots, top: Wore this sometime late last year when I went to the baptism of my friend's son.
Polka dots, bottom: This long skirt was what I wore when we welcomed 2012! Another fancy accessory... a cute dog! Hahaha! This is my little schnauzer MORGAN. :)
How about you? Any favorite pattern?

It's A Jungle Out Here!

Rawr!!!

I am like a zookeeper gone wild with the various animal-printed stuff I have in my closet. Animal prints... definitely a statement piece! But don't go all crazy and overdo it. You don't want to look like the city zoo. How I do it is I wear one piece at a time. I don't do two prints together. Choose one. That's enough to turn people's heads. Trust me.

Here are some of my pieces.

These are elephant-wide pants. I love how it flows. I pair it with a silk blue top and super high black heels. This got me about 100 double-looks the first time I wore it.
Here are some tops...

You can also just wear an animal-printed bangle. This piece stands out when I wear all black.
This pair of shorts from Cotton On, Singapore was my cousin's gift to me. Thanks, Cuz!
Animal printed shoes!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! The first one I bought from Charles and Keith. The two others from virtualmae.multiply.com (visit her site, her shoes are sick!).
This top is different from the others because the animal print just served as an accent. Super cute!
And if you still think you can't pull off animal prints, just "bring it". As in sport this animal-printed bag and your fabulousness meter will go off the mark!

So c'mon fashion animals, let loose and roam the streets in these!
