It's That Blue Skirt Again

Had an AVP shoot last week for one of our Clients. We had to shoot four scenes that day in four different locations. So I made sure I dressed comfortably, but still making sure I looked cute. Haha.

Up to now, I am in love with color blocking. This time around, I went for the pink and blue combo. And in true Melina Napa-fashion, I wore a major accessory to give my look that added punch.

Love, love, loooove this necklace that I bought from Apostrophe in Trinoma Mall. The shades are from the same store. To complete the outfit, wore my comfy Lady Rustan's nude flats. Best to go neutral on the shoes, so as not to exaggerate the color blocking look.

I am with my Admin Director and "Maid of Honor", Manuel, and my super fashyon AE Jason. White top from Forever 21, pink cardigan from Cinderella, and yes... THE BLUE TOPSHOP SKIRT FROM MY PREVIOUS POST. :)

Loose Top, Tight Skirt

Light brown and yellow combo (Mango top) was a perfect match to my fave blue skirt from TopShop. And believe it or not, this skirt was not from the Petite section. Yey! The garter shoes are back. :)
And my power color red goes great with blue.

Chunky necklaces are my thing. Here's my new piece from Apostrophe in Trinoma. Their pieces are awesome!!! And the lady there said they have a branch in Alabang Town Center. MUST check it out!

Here's my bangs, sideswiped.

And here are the bangs out to party. Hahaha!
Your tight skirt will go great with a loose top. It gives your body much more shape. I have another pink loose top that I also bought from Mango. Will post it one of these days.

The Big BANGS Theory

So I went to my hairstylist, Jun, last week, for a much needed trim. I go to Bench Fix in Greenbelt. My curls are still intact but the volume was just too much. Midway into cutting my hair, he suggested I get "Taylor Swift"-like bangs.

I admit I was a bit scared, but Jun has been styling my hair for years now, and I trust him with my life. My hair's life. :) So my bangs are making its grand debut on my blog.

People have been complementing me naman and saying I look younger. So thank you, Jun!

Floral top from a new stall in BF Ruins. Wide leg pants also from Ruins, but from a different store.  Wide leg pants make a petite girl appear longer. THIS IS SUPER, SUPER TRUE.
A closer look at the bangin' bangs. Sorry, my photographer (a.k.a my husband) was not home yet so I had to use the timer of my camera.

I am super in love with this necklace I got from Kikay in Greenbelt.

Chunky rings are the best! It completes any outfit.

Denim and Lace

This denim-ish top is super comfy. Ate too much tonight (It's my youngest brother's birthday!) and I was able to successfully hide my full stomach, thanks to the looseness of this top. Wore my layered, lace skirt. Love how the two textures perfectly come together. Top and skirt are from Copper (BF Ruins stall). Snake skin shoes from Charles & Keith. I wear animal-printed-anything every chance I get. Hahaha!

My layered necklaces, which added to the grunge-y feel of the outfit.

Here's the denim-lace combo up close. Showing off my feather connector ring as well. :)

Summer Dresses

I remember Ma saying I should avoid wearing long dresses because it'll make me look shorter. I say... "It's okay, Mama!" Hahaha! Bought this from Kikay in Greenbelt 1, together with the necklace. Shades from Dorothy Perkins. And I wore my comfy, nude Havaianas.

Sharing some of our pictures from our recently-concluded trip in Ilocos. My company celebrated our 10th year anniversary. :)

The Red & Blue Combo

This blue dress is brought to you by Iora. My fab red shoes? From a stall at the last Cuenca Bazaar. :)

Yes, I have eyebags. Hahaha! Anyway, showing off my pearl necklace from this accessories store in SM Southmall. I am so bad at remembering names!

For that girly-girl effect, pearls are the way to go. Tied my hair in a bun to complete the whole look.

A Jersey Dress

I love the length of this jersey dress that I bought from a Korean shop here in BF sometime ago. That's why I'm excited to go to Korea! If they have tons of dresses like these, I'll be in shopping heaven!

Wore it with my favorite Abby Jocson necklace, that my Client refers to as a "fiesta".  Since this is a major headturner already, just wore my gold Michael Kors watch.

Shoes by Charles and Keith. Super old already but I love the garterized straps!

Plain, White T-Shirt

I believe every woman should have a plain white shirt. Wear a skirt with it... jeans... or in my case, these super comfy capri pants that I bought from Mango ages ago.

I have three plain white shirts that I absolutely love. The key here is that it should not be too body-hugging or plunging. This one I'm wearing is from Forever 21. Bought this on one of my Singapore trips. Bought one just recently from Mango in Alabang Town Center.

And also, every woman MUST have a scarf. This floral-printed one is my favorite. It puts a little more flavor to any outfit.

This is my laid back travel ensemble when I went to Bicol with my husband last weekend. :)

White shirt from Forever 21, Pants from Mango, Brown Belt from TopShop, Animal-printed sandals from Steve Madden, Rolex watch, my Charriol bracelet combined with pink H&M bracelets (a gift from my college friend)

The Day I Said, "I Do".

In my entire existence, this has got to be the most BEAUTIFUL gown I have ever worn... a work of art by my wonderful friends, Sunshine and Van Lim. And this amazing shot was captured by one genius of a photographer and my good friend, Dusko Almosa.

My eyes are beaming with joy. And thanks to my fabulous make up artist, Lee Figueroa, I looked every bit a "blushing bride" (heehee). Dusko worked his magic here again! This was indeed the happiest day of my life!

I love you, Mac. I am yours forever.

Stripes and Prints

Excuse my "wasted" look. I had a pretty busy day.

Last week, I used my Zara gift card my college best friend, Antoi, gave me for Christmas. Here's a 'just-released' Peter Pan collared see-thru top that I swiped using the said card.

I super love it! I plan on pairing it with shorts next time.

But today, opted to pair it with a striped pencil cut skirt, with a green gartered band as accent (it's part of the skirt).

Love the "printed top and striped skirt combo". :)

Black "spaghetti strap" top from way back, Zara top,  Copper skirt

Adjusted the colors a bit so you can appreciate it more. I super love the printed top!

"Garterized" Charles and Keith shoes. Yup, I still have my orange polish on. :)

I Love Color Blocking!

This is a long overdue post, but I was able to get the pictures just today. :)

Last 20 December 2011, my company celebrated our Christmas Party at Ysabel's Garden in Las Pinas City. It was a super, duper fun night and seeing the pictures made me laugh so hard all over again.

Anyway, I loved my outfit that night. We asked everyone to come in formal attire. I was wearing a blue dress (once again by Copper (Note: They should already make me their model!)) and bloody red shoes that I bought from a stall at the Cuenca Bazaar. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the store! :( Necklace by Abby Jocson. Hair and Make Up by Ruben of Princess Carol in BF.

Check me out in the first picture. Yes, I am jumping out of the photo with my blue and red combo!

TEAM BRAINBEAM during our Christmas Party last year: (L - R) Our Admin Officer Tetet Ambulo, Administrative Director Manuel Lee, our Company Messenger Jeff Cabantog, "the fiance", Account Manager Mona Astete, Senior Account Executive Amanda Mandanas, our Bookkeeper Judith Rivo, Account Executive Don Espiritu and our Company Driver "Congressman" Obet Navasca

Cute-sy Patutsey

I love wearing dresses! This one in particular. Its vertical stripes help in improving my height issues. Hahaha!!! Plus, wearing 3-inch heels helps as well. :)

Girly girl dress by Springfield, Knotted belt from an alteration store in BF Homes that sells clothes

Charles and Keith shoes

Necklace from Mama's collection

Chunky ring, of course!

Rugged Friday

Excuse the blurry first photo, as my photographer is still getting the hang of things.

Here's my attempt at being a rockstar.

Pants by Topshop, Top from Copper

Shoes from Charles and Keith

Every women should have a slim black belt. It adds an 'umph' to any outfit.
I'm off to work!

Attack of the 50-foot Woman

Well, obviously, I am not 50-feet tall, but you get the picture. For someone barely making it to the 5-feet mark, this ensemble is one of my favorites because it makes me look taller.

And it makes heads turn too! And by that I mean other ladies, who are probably thinking, "Where did she get those pants! I want one!".

The flare of the pants is just SO fabulous. It's just the right length (actually had these cut a bit), plus it's so easy breezy on the skin. :) I love its light fabric.

Pants from Copper. Shoes from Pedro Woman (Yes, the same one from my previous post.)

Beautiful shade of blue too! Thanks to Topshop Petite. Silver studs are mine. Put my hair in a bun for added drama (and class).

Love this necklace that I bought from a stall in BF Ruins (again!)

I always have to wear my Charriol bracelet because it's my commitment band with Mac (who has one too). H&M pink-gold bracelets set was a gift from my friend, Borillo.

And of course, my chunky ring!

Rawr!

From The Closet 1

Here's my take on the whole "making the fru-fru skirt look casual" thing.

It's also the debut of our helper, Arlene, as my photographer. Hahaha!

Mango basic blue polo shirt, my white fru fru skirt from People are People, pearl necklace from Mama (I braided my own hair, FYI)

Marriot, my perfect 'little' dog

Shoes by Pedro Woman (bought these babies from Singapore)

I love my bracelets!

And no wardrobe of mine is complete without a chunky ring. Also loving my orange nail polish courtesy of "Get Polished" in BF Homes, Paranaque.
